Yikes....August was the last time I posted.  I guess now that I have facebook, Xanga has been forgotten.  Lots has changed since then....

Wow its been awhile since I posted.  Not much is new and I guess that is why.  I've been busy with the boys, spending alot of time with family and being outside.  It's been a fun summer.

I guess my newest info is that I'm considering becoming a consultant for the Pampered Chef...but I've heard some rumors about the owner of the company giving money to abortion clinics.  Does anyone know if this is true? I'd love input....

Tonight I was saying goodnight prayers with Nate and the coolest conversation happened. Once we've prayed for all our Grandma's and Grandpa's and aunts and uncles, etc. we usually ask him if there is anything he wants to say to Jesus.  He usually rambles on about thanking Him for his cars and his movies but tonight this is what happened:

ME: Is there anything you want to say to Jesus

NATE: He died on the cross

ME: Yes, do you know who He died on the cross for?

NATE: Nate.

ME: Do you know why He died on the cross?

NATE: He took my sin.

ME:  Right Nate.  Do you know what sins are?

NATE: (stared at me blankly)

ME: Sins are when you do bad things.  Like saying NO to mommy and daddy and not listening and hitting people.  Anytime you do something that God said not to do.

NATE: Oh. OK. (pause) Sorry Jesus died on the cross.

ME: No, don't say sorry to Jesus for dying on the cross.  You say sorry for your sin and thank you for dying on the cross.

NATE: OK. Thank you Jesus for died on the cross.

ME: Anything else you want to say to Jesus??

NATE: Thank you for my wall. Thank you for my closet....etc.

Now I don't know if he was just saying phrases that he's heard or if he really knew what he was saying.  But that sure seems like a prayer for salvation to me.  Is it possible for a child who is almost 3???? If it is...PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!  If not, I'm just happy that we are able to share the Good News with him at this age and maybe he'll understand soon.

The joys of motherhood

I was nursing Caleb this morning and Nate had sticky hands from breakfast. I told him to go wash his hands....which he proceeded to do.  But then he thought it would be fun to plug the sink and fill it until it overflowed....water EVERYWHERE.  So I stripped his clothes off (cuz he was soaked too) and put him in his room for a time out.  After cleaning the water I went into his room to talk to him about what he had done and discovered poop EVERYWHERE.  We are in the middle of potty training him and the pooping is the part he isn't getting.  So then I had to clean up the poop from the floor, his dresser and all over him (hands, feet, bum, etc.).  What a morning!!!!  I told the story to Jess and she said she doesn't want kids. LOL!!
